We are two friends with a lifelong love of Breton food and passion for the humble buckwheat. It was out of our shared appetite that L’Ami Malo was born; a modern crêperie steeped in traditional gastronomy, culture and seasonality. The menu at L’Ami Malo elevates buckwheat at its core, featuring healthy, gluten-free dishes, indulgent galettes and deliciously sweet crêpes.
The memory of eating in crêperies in the past during family celebrations triggered nostalgia for both of us – and we hope to bring the same emotion and taste of our beloved Brittany to the heart of Spitalfields for everyone to enjoy, both day and night.
